Episode Synopses
Episode 1: Families - A mother and daughter are walking by a street wedding. Intrigued, they make their way in. Soon there’s a shooting, injuring several people. In the hospital we meet the Critical Moments team and get a hint of the drama to come.
Episode 4: Starting Over - A young man decides to sell his kidney and a hooker who believes she has no other choice, both struggle with their money driven lives. Dr. Khaled tries to express his love to Dr. Youmna though she is in love with Dr. Amr.
Episode 7: Endings and New Beginnings - A bus heading to a singer’s concert has a terrible accident seen by the star. Ramy gets divorced and Fatima is pressured to marry. A medical student falls for a patient, not knowing fate plans a cruel surprise.
Episode 2: First Day on the Job - Dr. Khaled struggles with his relationship with his father as several young burn victims who have barely escaped a fiery boat accident are rushed in. Another patient is accused of trying to murder her husband.
Episode 5: Chapter One - Today is Dr. Amr’s birthday but it’s also the day of an explosion in a theatre during a sold out performance. The injured, the dying, women about to give birth, and the theater’s main star, are all coming through the door.
Episode 8: And Life Goes On - After Ahmed’s funeral life goes on. Aziza's neighbor comes in beaten by her husband. Khaled’s father sets a fire in their building. Youmna operates on a boy against his mother’s will then discovers who he is.
Episode 3: Romeo and Juliet -Seventeen year old Nada, blinded by love, attempts suicide. As the doctors struggle to save her, a young man, the Romeo to Nada’s Juliet, arrives after attempting suicide himself. A new doctor is greeted with suspicion.
Episode 6: Friends and Lovers - Amr’s father encourages him to marry Youmna. Dr. Ramy, while driving to work, hits a boy, nearly killing him. Khaled decides to finally confront Youmna with his love but Amr will tell Youmna something that changes everything.
Episode 9: The Escape - A truck carrying dangerous convicts overturns. The hospital is filled with prisoners and police who interfere with efforts to save their lives. Dr. Fouad reminds Youmna of her past. Amr is shocked by a visitor he thought was dead.
Episode 10: Giving – The doctors play football against another hospital. Khaled passes out on the field. Fatima gets a marriage proposal. Dr. Khaled hears Dr. Fouad remind Youmna of their illicit past. Will Khaled and Youmna’s relationship survive?
Episode 13: Dreams of Their Fathers - A woman comes to the hospital claiming she was attacked. Youmna treats her and discovers a shocking secret. Dr. Amr’s father tells another secret to his son.
Episode 11: Of Fathers and Sons - A speeding train is derailed, many are injured including a father who kidnapped his own son. Fatima gives Tarek her answer. Khaled’s mysterious condition worsens and he admits he knew about Youmna’s relationship with Fouad.
Episode 14: Come Back to Us - Khaled’s brain tumor has worsened and could be fatal. The operation requires experience no doctor at the hospital has. Youmna knows someone who can operate but she must put aside her feelings to ask for his help.
Episode 12: Private Lives - Amr faces the truth about his mother’s criminal past. Khaled learns the cause of his illness. Fatima’s father gets into trouble with the police. Morci tries to get an expectant mother to the hospital. Will he make it on time?
Episode 15: Khaled’s Team - Khaled’s operation is approaching but Tamer decides not to help his friend. Tamer’s wife tells him something he didn’t expect. Dr. Magda is forced to go back to work while Amr is dealing with death threats from gangsters.
Episode 16: Into the Darkness - It’s the day of Khaled’s operation. The doctors and staff wait in anticipation and wonder if Khaled will make it through alive. Amr has more to worry about than just Khaled. Saving his mother's life might cost him his own.
Episode 17: Cries and Whispers - Khaled survives the operation but no one knows what his mental condition will be now. Tarek looks for Fatima wanting to confess his love. Khareiya, severely beaten by her husband, pleads to Youmna for help.
Episode 18: A Boy’s World - Khaled wakes from his coma to overhear Youmna tell Aziza she’s still in love with Amr. Aziza needs help herself when her son is arrested. Ramy meets someone at his girlfriend Mariam’s concert.
Episode 19: Lessons Learned - Khaled, discouraged by what he heard Youmna say about Amr, decides to put love aside and focus on work. Aziza fights to save her son from criminal charges. Mariam finds out how deeply Basma feels about Ramy.
Episode 20: Secrets and Lies - Two new doctors join our team: Laila and her husband, Moataz. There seems to be a secret in Moataz’ past. Amr suspects his mother is lying to get what she wants. Ramy has to choose between Basma and his fiancée Mariam.
Episode 21: The Evidence - When a piece of expensive medical equipment is stolen, nurse Amina is blamed. She’s unable to convince anyone of her innocence. Depressed and desperate, she does the unthinkable. Khaled tries to put Youmna out of his mind.
Episode 22: The Party - Amina is proven innocent as Dr. Ibrahim tries to save her from her attempted suicide. Moataz helps a patient though he himself suffers from psychological problems. The mystery of why Magda gave up being a surgeon is revealed.
Episode 23: The Camera - Mohamed Hussein is convinced a security camera has been installed to spy on him. Youmna asks Ramy why Khaled’s attitude towards her changed after his operation. Moataz learns the other doctors don’t want him in the hospital.
Episode 24: The Decision - Youmna can’t fix things with Khaled and her mother wants to marry a man only interested in her money. Amr goes to meet his mother but is in for a big surprise. Moataz must overcome his fear of entering the OR again.
Episode 25: Hard Choices - Fatima is getting engaged today so Aziza prepares a celebration. Ibrahim however, won’t be able to make it, as a criminal has kidnapped him and is forcing him to remove a bullet at gunpoint.
Episode 26: Hope - Aziza’s husband decides to turn in the money he found. Youmna gives a daughter’s blessing for her mother’s wedding. Khaled discovers his father has decided to marry his neighbor. Ramy takes a vacation that will change his life.
Episode 27: Lost Opportunities – Ramy, back from his vacation reveals he has married Basma but they both soon feel it was a mistake. Amr gets a visit from a gangster with an offer - your mother's life for the diamonds. Will the gangster honor the deal?
Episode 28: The Substitute - A new receptionist joins the team at the front desk and Mohamed realizes his job is being threatened. A policeman follows up on what happened to a victim of a mugging. Amr must make the dangerous trade for his mother’s life.
Episode 29: Quarantine - The hospital faces its greatest challenge; a quarantine due to Ebola. Doctors and nurses are trapped inside with the Ebola patient. Laila is unable to come to Moataz. Meanwhile, Ramy asks Mariam to marry him.
Episode 30: Back to The Past - Amr decides to resign. Youmna re-evaluates her relationship with her father who’s now fighting for his life. Moataz overhears Amr confess his attraction to Dr. Laila even though she’s married to Moataz.
Episode 31: And More Tomorrows - Lazy Tamer gets a rude awaking when his uncle, Dr. Galal, is brought into the hospital badly injured. Now Tamer must try to save his uncle's life. Meanwhile his wife enters the hospital with another shock for him.
Episode 32: Lost Dreams…New Dreams - In this season finale, Basma tells Ramy she’s pregnant, Amr realizes he really loves Laila and Tamer announces he’s quitting. A new wing of the hospital collapses. The injured and the dead are pulled out. Who survived?
Episode 33 – At Ramy and Mariam’s wedding, Moataz sees Dr. Amr’s interest in his wife, Laila. A café explosion forces the doctors to rush off to the ER. Dr. Galal and his brother Hani are in prison while Khaled tries to get Youmna’s answer to his proposal.
Episode 34 - Dr. Galal is in jail ready for a court hearing. Khaled’s relationship with his father and Youmna, is tested. A terrorist, heavily guarded, remains in a coma. Amr has a secret interest in this patient and…Laila.
Episode 35 - A family’s celebration ends tragically. Moataz notices Amr and Laila’s questionable interaction. Khaled tries to ask Youmna an important question. Will she marry him? Ramy’s ex-wife, Basma, reveals she’s pregnant. Ibrahim becomes her doctor.
Episode 36 - Dr. Galal’s trial begins. Galal fights his brother for his freedom. Ramy witnesses the ultimate sacrifice of a father for his son. As Basma continues to consult Ibrahim Ramy becomes uncomfortable and jealous. Dr. Galal’s verdict is announced.
Episode 37 - Khaled finally gets Youmna’s answer. Galal enters the hospital as a hero fireman fights for his life. While Amr and Khaled try to save a terrorist’s life he recognizes Amr and says his name. Amr needs dangerous surgery to save his eyesight.
Episode 38 – Youmna confronts Laila about Amr. The doctors are asked to take a pay cut. Moataz and Amr argue about the fireman’s death. A student performs an emergency C-section while trapped in an elevator. Ramy tells his wife, Basma has given him a son.
Episode 39 – Moataz quits. A businessman calls his friend, Dr. Fouad to treat his wife. Khaled saves her. Fouad takes credit. The man will help the hospital but only with great changes. Basma and Ibrahim get an unexpected visit from Ibrahim’s wife.
Episode 40 – A policeman is shot and pursued by a gang right into the hospital. Khaled’s sister won’t care for their father and Khaled must do it alone. Will this change his coming marriage to Youmna? The new owner of the hospital changes Galal’s life.
Episode 41 – Aziza’s friend is attacked in the hospital. Dr. Fouad tries to rekindle the romance he and Youmna once had. Amr tells Laila Moataz is lying. Ramy seems jealous of Basma and Ibrahim. Basma and Mariam meet to discuss the future of Ramy’s son.
Episode 42 - An old man beaten by a group of men is recognized by Amina. Ibrahim doesn’t believe a woman’s story. He thinks she’s been raped. Amr and Khaled fight about Youmna. Amina realizes the beaten man is guilty of another horrible attack.
Episode 43 – Amina reveals the beaten man’s identity to his new victim’s family. When he’s found dead the police launch an investigation. Amina’s a suspect. Ramy says he’ll raise his son with or without Basma but soon makes another shocking discovery.
Episode 44 - Youmna and Khaled’s relationship is tested when Dr. Fouad continues to pursue Youmna romantically. Dr. Amr checks into another hospital for surgery that could leave him blind. Yasmine’s brothers violently disrupt her date with Hossam.
Episode 45 – A teenager causes a crash paralyzing his father’s law client. The father tries to have a look-alike claim responsibility. Ramy monitors Khaled‘s work and damages their friendship. Ramy visits Basma’s home and finds Ibrahim there.
Episode 46 - Ramy’s father wants him to leave the hospital. After seeing Fouad’s advances towards Youmna, Khaled starts to ignore her. Aziza’s son is in the ER with a gunshot wound dangerously close to his spine.
Episode 47 - Ramy’s father is unimpressed by Ramy’s promotion. Khaled is ignoring Youmna after seeing Fouad’s advances. Amr returns ready to work. Ibrahim is hit by a truck but saves Basma and her child. Basma and Samar wait together for news to his fate.
Episode 48 - Galal and Ramy’s power struggle continues as they fight to save Ibrahim. Outside the OR, Samar and Basma meet. Dr. Tamer finds the med students grades. Not everyone will become a doctor. Youmna struggles to save her relationship with Khaled.
Episode 49 - Aziza’s son’s crime may put him in prison. Khaled receives rare insight from Tamer about Youmna. Ramy’s father suffers a massive heart attack. Ramy is in the midst of an operation when he gets the news.
Episode 50 - Amr operates without consent. Magda returns but Fouad ruins the reunion. Tamer offers to give Ibrahim his kidney. Khaled and Amr’s argument over procedure turns into a physical fight. Khaled feels he’s discovered the true meaning of love.
Episode 51 - Youmna struggles with whether or not to keep a secret. Basma insists on being taken to visit Ibrahim but leaves when she discovers Samar is there. Ramy comes home to Mariam but he is distracted by his thoughts of his child with Basma.
Episode 52 – Khaled and Fouad argue in the OR distracting Youmna at a critical moment that will have serious consequences. Khaled makes a sacrifice to save Youmna’s career. Amr confesses his feelings to Layla. Samar hears Ibrahim call out Basma’s name.
Episode 55 – Many new doctors and interns join the team due to a merger with another hospital. They are met with suspicion. Dr. Ibrahim, though confined to a wheelchair is charged with the task of teaching new students through both lecture and example.
Episode 58 - Layla’s calls to Amr go unanswered as he lies in the street among the bodies and debris of a destroyed café. Aysha still has a crush on Youssef but realizes his interests lie elsewhere. Ibrahim enters the hospital without his wheelchair.
Episode 53 - Aziza’s birthday party is ruined when Laila tells everyone how she feels. The new owner makes a major announcement. At Fatima and Tarek’s wedding, Khaled asks Youmna to set a date for theirs. Tamer discovers a terrible tragedy has occurred.
Episode 56 - The new doctors try to adapt: Dr. Selim pursues student Mounira and Khaled again talks to Hisham about his rude behavior. Student Youssef consoles a crying Dr. Hoda, his superior. Nagwa is surprised by the reactions to her party invites.
Episode 59 - Khaled and Youmna plan their wedding knowing that living with Khaled’s father will cause problems. Tamer begins to show a romantic interest in Nagwa. A crash involving the hospital’s ambulance has terrible consequences.
Episode 54 - Khaled is rehired when Youmna confesses that it was her mistake. The doctors are shocked by Tamer’s tragedy and even more shocked when Tamer returns to work as though nothing had happened. Galal hires Magda back as Assistant Administrator.
Episode 57 - Dr. Hoda is taking a liking to young intern, Yousssef and Mounira seems to be falling for Dr. Selim. Khaled invites the staff to his wedding. Amr gets a phone call and leaves the hospital to meet the terrorist’s brother with tragic results.
Episode 60 - Amr is fighting for his life and Khaled thinks his past may be to blame. Amir prescribes the wrong medication and blames Hanan. The doctors try to save their colleagues in the ambulance crash. Laila falls ill. She’s shocked to discover why.
Episode 61 - Tamer is thinking of Nagwa as a future wife. Aysha describes her ideal husband to Youssef. Magda confronts Amir about his scheming ways. Khaled tries to convince Ramy to return to work. Laila tells Moataz she’s going to have their child.
Episode 62 - Youssef confesses his love. Shaza, Aysha and Amir are stunned to discover the woman rushed into the ER, dying from kidney failure is Ibrahim's lover, Basma. Her life rests in their hands. The season concludes with the joyful wedding of Khaled and Youmna.
Episode 63: Leaving Home…Coming Home - Youmna and Khaled struggle with Khaled’s father. Patients, including doctors and nurses, stream in from a major disaster in another hospital. Selim continues to manipulate Mounira. Layla makes a surprise appearance.
Episode 64: A Mother’s Wish - Hoda struggles with Layla’s childbirth. Tamer must decide if he should refuse a desperate mother’s request. Khaled attacks a patient’s son. Selim tries to ruin the celebration as the doctors come to see Layla and her new baby.
Episode 67: My Father’s Son - Hisham visits a mysterious patient in a psych ward. Tamer tells Ibrahim Shaza looks at him “in a special way.” Hisham asks Maha questions that go beyond medical interests. Layla hears there’s news about Amr.
Episode 70: Family Day For Better Or Worse – Khaled discovers Youmna has left. Layla shows Amr her baby. Hoda “congratulates” Youssef on his coming marriage to Aysha. Mounira’s brother enters the hospital to settle the score with Selim. He brings a gun.
Episode 65: I Want To Tell You – Layla’s sister tells her to go back to Moataz. Hoda’s attraction to Youssef is noticed. Selim tells Mounira it’s over. Shaza fears Ibrahim “knows something.” Khaled and Youmna struggle to maintain their marriage.
Episode 68: Be There For Me - Ibrahim admits Tamer may be right about Shaza. Hisham reveals the identity of the psychiatric patient. Selim is furious about Mounira’s note saying she’s pregnant. Mounira tells her brother her secret. Hisham admits his feelings for Maha.
Episode 71: Don’t Let Me Die - Chaos. Mounira, Galal and Selim have been shot. They’re rushed into the OR amidst screams and tears. Everyone fights to save the lives of beloved co-workers and the despised Selim. The doctors discover Mounira is pregnant.
Episode 66: Meet My Daughter - Khaled dances in the O.R. to everyone’s surprise. Maha’s mother threatens to take her out of the hospital. Amir cautions Shaza that Ibrahim is dangerous. Hoda is worried about Layla’s health. Selim finds a surprise note.
Episode 69: A Friend’s Advice - Layla tells Amr about her baby. Hisham goes to Maha and tries Nagwa’s advice. Tamer supports Amr and Layla’s relationship but Khaled doesn’t. Tamer discovers drug tracks on the nanny’s arm. Mounira’s brother confronts Selim.
Episode 72: Too Little Too Late - Hoda’s attraction to Youssef is noticed by everyone except Aysha. A detective interrogates a weak Selim. Shaza is surprised to see Ibrahim at the Opera but Ibrahim is even more surprised to discover she’s there with Amir.
Episode 73: The Party - Selim and Mounira’s story spreads. Nagwa invites Tamer and Khaled to a party. Galal goes into crisis and needs Selim’s help. As Hoda and Youssef discuss their feelings it becomes clear their relationship will change tonight.
Episode 74: Changes - An explosion during the making of a rap video brings three famous rappers into the ER. Aziza is moved to discover Ibrahim visiting her paralyzed son. Selim is awakened by doctors and nurses running in the corridor to Galal’s bedside.
Episode 75: To Blame Or To Forgive – Amir argues violently with his father. Khaled asks Ibrahim directly about Shaza. Nagwa tells Selim she will never forgive him. Amr admits to Layla he can’t control his anger. Youssef approaches Hoda but she avoids him.
Episode 76: My Uncle My Life - Amir confronts Ibrahim angrily about his uninvited home visit. He then warns Shaza about what Ibrahim will do when he finds out she killed Basma. Amr has something very important to say to Layla.
Episode 77: Hope - Hoda is surprised by a party celebrating Youssef and Aysha’s engagement. Aysha cautions Shaza that Amir might cause her to lose Ibrahim and ruin her career at the same time. Amr agrees to see a psychiatrist to deal with his anger.
Episode 78: To Care For Their Family – Khaled’s father’s condition is worsening. Hisham pleads with Maha’s mother to let him continue to try to cure Maha. Moataz threatens to legally take Layla’s daughter. Nagwa tries to understand Khaled’s intentions.
Episode 79: What Others See - Tension erupts between Aysha and Hoda. Magda threatens to take Hisham off Maha’s case due to his “special” interest in her. Amr offers to help Layla with Moataz. Aysha plans their wedding but Youssef disappoints her.
Episode 80: Discoveries - Khaled denies any relationship with Nagwa. Magda gives Hisham hope about Maha. Ibrahim asks Shaza out. The new director of the hospital is named. Shaza is ready to tell Ibrahim about Basma. Khaled discovers what he feared is true.
Episode 81: Who To Tell, What To Tell - The doctors argue about Selim, the new hospital manager. Selim’s Deputy is named. There’s something Shaza can’t tell Aysha. Selim tells Mohamed Hussein about his illness. Tamer reminds Khaled of his love for Youmna.
Episode 82: To Tell A Tale - Youssef shows up at Hoda’s home. Khaled tries to explain himself to Nagwa. Hisham tells Maha about her illness. Ibrahim finds a picture of Basma. Khaled admits Youmna will never be gone from his life. Selim’s weaknesses deepen.
Episode 83: I’m Scared - Hanan sees the fear Mohamed Hussein tries to conceal. Youssef asks Aysha to postpone their marriage. Hoda needs help to tell Layla her results. Khaled and Tamer discuss Nagwa. Shaza and Ibrahim express their feelings to each other.
Episode 84: A Mother’s Choice - Aziza fears for her son and Amr gives her unwanted advice. Mohammed Hussein hides his illness from his mother. Tamer helps Khaled get close to Nagwa. Layla knows Hoda is hiding something. Youssef talks to Hoda about Aysha.
Episode 85: But I Love Her - Both Tamer and Khaled show an interest in Nagwa. Hisham learns something important from Maha. Mohamed Hussein tries to hide how much he needs Hanan, but she knows. Youssef shocks Shaza when she asks about Aysha.
Episode 86: Dinner Plans - Thinking of Youmna, Khaled talks to Hisham about love. Shaza resists telling Aysha what she knows. Khaled fumbles asking Nagwa out. Amir surprises Shaza when he tells her what’s on his mind. Nagwa reveals her past to Khaled.
Episode 87: Promises - Khaled tells Tamer he has a date with Nagwa. Hoda answers Magdy’s proposal. The doctors don’t know how to tell Mohamed Hussein to get his things in order. Khaled has forgotten how to be around a woman away from the hospital.
Episode 88: I Can’t Forget Her - Khaled reveals he couldn’t forget Youmna, even on his date with Nagwa. Tensions erupt between Tamer and Selim. Youssef tries to win Hoda from Magdy. Amir’s father laughs as Amir tells him something important.
Episode 89: A Time To Help Each Other - Mohamed Hussein and Hanan learn what they mean to each other. Layla tells the doctors her answer to Amr’s proposal. Selim’s addiction is becoming obvious. Shaza attempts to have a difficult conversation with Ibrahim.
Episode 90: Wanting To Believe - Layla asks Amr to make a promise. Selim’s weaknesses are controlling him. Tamer admits he needs someone to share his life with. Khaled throws Selim out of the OR. Hanan shocks Aziza when she talks about Mohamed Hussein.
Episode 91: Doors Opened…Doors Closed - Khaled tells Hisham what he’s decided about Nagwa. Maha expresses her love to Hisham. Selim reveals the darkest side of his personality. Ibrahim is changed by what Shaza tells him. Khaled is reminded of Youmna.
Episode 92: To Speak Of Loves Past - Hoda understands her situation as she tries to help Nagwa with hers. Khaled makes Tamer admit his feelings for Nagwa. Shaza reveals she told Ibrahim her terrible secret. Youmna is surprised when she visits the hospital.
Episode 93: I Have To Try - Moataz makes Laila question Amr’s honesty. Shaza asks Ibrahim for forgiveness. Tamer gets the courage to ask Nagwa out. Hanan reveals her plans to Mohamed Hussein. Hisham gets a hard lesson from Ibrahim.
Episode 94: I Should Have Known - Tamer is surprised by Nagwa. Hoda finds her true strength. Amir has a life changing confrontation. Aysha shocks Youssef. Khaled and Youmna talk of the future. Aziza has a terrible tragedy during a beautiful celebration.
